I spent the whole month listening to Thomas David’s new album “EGODEATH”, and the more I played it, the more I understood how much work is inside it. This is a long album, but trust me, it does not sound lazy or rushed. With these well crafted 13 tracks, Thomas gives a lot of himself, from sharp verses and smooth hooks to softer moments where the writing becomes more honest and open.

The album starts with “CROSS CHAIN”, and it is a strong opening. Thomas sounds ready from the first line. His delivery is confident and direct. The production and mix are professional and give the track a clean punch. It is a good way to open the album because it shows his voice, his flow, and his energy right away. The beat, the vocals and the mix all work together in a great way.

“DREAMING” comes next with one of the album’s most easy to like moments. The melody is strong, the hook is smooth and the production has a great shine without covering his voice. Thomas really knows how to make a song catchy without making it sound cheap. That balance shows up many times on this album.

“AFTERLIFE PT.II”, slows things down and gives the album more heart. The instrumental is simple, but that works well because the writing needs space. The artist sounds calm here and his words come with real honesty. It is one of those tracks that does not need big changes or loud sounds to make its point.

“DIAMONDS”, brings back a stronger bounce. The vocal production is one of the best parts of the track, and he rides the beat with control. His voice has a rich tone and he knows how to use it in different ways. That is one of the main reasons the album stays interesting. He does not give the same performance again and again.

“FEAR OF FAILURE”, is one of the heaviest moments on the album. The spoken words at the start hit hard because they sound real. After that, Thomas keeps the delivery smooth, but the weight of the song stays there. The lyrics are meaningful and the track shows how strong he can be when he keeps things honest and simple.

“WAR”, is direct and easy to remember. The hook works well, the vocals are strong and the mixing is excellent. It has one of the strongest vocal setups on the project. “MORPHINE”, also stands out, but for a different reason. Thomas sounds smooth on the beat and when the rhythm switch it gives the song new life but keeps the same mood. His flows change in a great way and the track has some of the most memorable writing on the album.

The middle part of EGODEATH keeps the record moving without sounding flat. “ETERNITY”, and “SELFISH”, are both smooth listens with strong vocal lines and nice production choices. They help the album breathe. “UNDERSTAND”, starts with a soft instrumental that slowly adds more details before Thomas comes in. His delivery is steady, his flow is confident and the lyrics sound close to real life.

“YOUNG FOREVER”, brings one of the most emotional moments here. Thomas puts a lot into his voice and the atmosphere around the track helps the song connect. The title track “EGODEATH”, has strong delivery, soft sounds in the background and smart production choices. It fits the album title well because the whole record sounds like someone looking at himself, his fears, his drive, and the things he wants to leave behind.

“BEAUTIFUL”, closes the album in a perfect way. It does not sound like just another track at the end. It gives this album a real closing moment and leaves a good final taste. By the last second, Thomas David proves that he has more than a good voice. He has strong flow, good control, honest writing, and a clear ear for production. This new album is personal and well-made, with enough variety to make the full 50 minutes worth the time.
