Bad Flamingo has released “Velvet”, and once again, the duo found a fresh way to surprise me. I loved every second of this track, from its steady rhythm to the dark and smooth vocals moving in the mix. The production is full of small creative choices, yet nothing sounds crowded or forced. Each part has room to breathe while the melodies keep the song moving with great confidence. What impressed me most is the atmosphere they created here. It is polished, strange and easy to replay. This duo never follows an obvious path and this new single shows exactly why their music continues to stand apart.
