Doctor Noize has released a new album called “Positive Energy! (The Music of Doctor Noize)”, and I had a great time listening to these 28 songs. There is so much life in this record, but what I like most is the care behind his music. The hooks are amazing, the vocals are full of character and the production is solid and gives every song its little world.
Let’s mention a few titles. “Banana” has an amazing hook with rich instrumentation and really good production around it. “The Funky Monkey” has a great rhythm, strong energy and lively vocals that make you want to dance along. “Stay At Home” is a beautiful listen with sweet writing, lovely melodies and voices that work very well together.
The title track “Positive Energy” says a lot with its name alone. The chorus is catchy, the vocals are catchy and the whole song carries a happy spirit. “More Than Love” is softer. It is simple, gentle, and honest, with creative vocal production and writing that sounds very personal. “Make It Blood” was another favorite for me. The piano is beautiful and the vocals and harmonies fit perfectly.
This music is made for kids, but adults can enjoy it too. I am proof of that. Doctor Noize writes with passion and pays attention to every musical part and he brings real personality to his work. Kids over 30 like me might enjoy it too.
