I just discovered Red Dirt Skinners, and their new single “Everest” has made me a fan. This husband and wife duo know how to make a good tune. The rhythm is catchy, the melodies are lovely and the sax adds something special without taking over. I enjoyed his smooth lead voice and the way her voice sits behind it. They sound great together. The song was inspired by a photo of climbers waiting to reach Everest’s top, which makes the writing even more interesting. I’m glad I found these two, and I’ll be following their music closely now.
