There’s always been this strange fear around AI in music. People either think it’s the future or the end of everything. I don’t really sit on either side. But after listening to “ai12die” by Charles Luck (Black Astronaut Records). I can say this: it’s not empty. Not even close.

This project is like something built with intention, even if the voice behind it isn’t human in the usual way. I didn’t expect to sit through a full project like this, but once it started, I just kept going. It’s a long album, packed with tracks, but it never really drags. There’s always something happening. Some idea, some energy, something pulling you forward.

“Chakra Flow” is an amazing listen. It has this strong push to it. This song knows exactly what it wants to be. The lines are sharp and the energy doesn’t drop. It’s confident and maybe even a bit aggressive. That’s a good thing here.

“Life Goes So Fast” changes the mood. It’s more melodic and more emotional. I actually paused for a second on this one. The hook stays with you and the lyrics are simple but they land. It doesn’t try to be deep in a complicated way. It just connects and I love it.

“Statement” is one of my favorite titles here. Fast delivery, high energy. There’s a sense of urgency in the way it moves. “Beep Bop Boop” is probably where the project shows its personality the most. It’s chaotic, fast and a bit strange but that’s exactly why it works. The production is bold. It doesn’t play safe.

Even though this is described as an AI-generated album, it doesn’t feel lifeless. If anything, it feels like a reaction. Like something trying to exist in a space where people don’t fully accept it yet. And maybe that’s the point. Charles Luck had a strong vision here. Writing all the tracks and shaping this concept into something listenable is not easy and you can hear the creativity across the whole album.

Is it perfect? No. But I don’t think it’s trying to be. It’s trying to be heard. And honestly, it worked on me. If you’re curious about where music is going, or just want to hear something different, this album is worth your time. It’s strange, energetic and at times surprisingly human.
