Passive released a new single, “Late Checkout” and there is so much to enjoy from the first listen. The rich instrumentation gives the track a full sound and the clean production keeps every part clear. I liked the vocal melodies here. The vocals sit nicely over the music and the chorus is easily one of the strongest moments here. There is also a bittersweet side to the song, matching its story about a complicated relationship. The mixing and mastering are excellent and the whole track stayed interesting for me right until the final second.
