nowhere wood. released his new EP “summer’s rose” and sometimes a small release is all you need. There are only 4 instrumental tracks here and every one of them is under a minute, but each piece brings its own little change in tone.
The music stays soft, simple and a little dark. But I really like that nothing is crowded. There is space between the sounds and that space is part of what makes the EP work so well. You can hear the care in the small details, from the gentle melodies to the clean production and the way each short track moves into the next.
I also like that nowhere wood. does not try to make these pieces bigger than they need to be. They are short ideas, but they still have character. One track may sound warmer, while another leans into a quieter and deeper mood. Together, they give us a good sample of his style and what he can do with very little time.
“summer’s rose” is a short release but I enjoyed every part of it. It is soft music made with care and I would really like to hear a longer project from this artist anytime soon. Enjoy and make sure to share it with your friends!
