I’ve spent some good time listening to Awake & Dreaming and their new album, “Inevitable” and I have one piece of advice: listen to all ten tracks from start to finish in one sitting. Trust me, you won’t regret it. There’s so much good music here, and I think the band has done a wonderful job bringing everything together.
The album opens with “I U Me”, and what a great way to start! The chorus is strong, the melodies are beautiful, and the instruments work so well together. I also really enjoyed the writing here. It’s a great introduction to what the band has prepared for us in the rest of the album.
As you move through the record, there’s a lot to enjoy. The female vocals are one of my favorite things about it. There’s so much power and beauty in her voice and she knows how to make the lyrics stand out. The instruments also deserve some love. I enjoyed how the band brings different sounds together without making things too busy.
Now, I have to talk about “Underwater” and “Faceless”. These two are my personal favorites, and I’ve honestly had them on repeat. There’s something special about the melodies, the vocals, and the way everything comes together. I keep finding little things to enjoy with each listen.
Another thing I really liked is the message behind the album. The songs explore some deep parts of life, and the writing gives you something to think about. I also appreciate the production choices and the clear recording quality.
For a debut album, this is a great piece of work. Awake & Dreaming clearly have their own direction, and their passion for music comes through in every track. I’m glad I spent time with this one and I’ll certainly be coming back to it. Enjoy and make sure to share it with your friends!
