DECO is a talented band I recently discovered. They released their second album, “Dreamhouse”, and I love what this band is doing. There is so much colour in their music and the sound is rich without becoming too busy which is rare to find. I enjoyed all 12 tracks, which is rare for me these busy days, honestly, too.
The record opens with “Dreamhouse”, a great choice to start things off. The chorus is my favourite part here. It has lovely melodies, good energy and that catchy sound DECO does so well. Next comes “Talking In My Sleep”, and honestly, this might be my favourite song on the album. The vocal melodies are excellent, but I also love how carefully everything has been put together. The production is clean and every sound has its place.
“Fever Dream” is another song worth talking about. I liked its unusual sounds, good writing, and memorable melodies. It shows that DECO have more ideas than simply making a catchy chorus. They know how to make each song interesting while keeping their unique sound.
There is also a nice message behind this record. The band wanted to make a little escape from all the bad news and stress around us. I think that idea works well with the music. Songs like “Weekend” and “On The Radio” celebrate those happy moments we all need sometimes, while the closing track “Driver’s Seat” looks at doubt and finding a way forward.
What impressed me most was the care behind the whole album. The instruments work beautifully together, the vocals are enjoyable and the mixing is clear and professional. Nothing sounds rushed. Even after 12 songs, I still wanted to listen again.
DECO have made an album I can happily recommend from start to finish. I am already looking forward to hearing what they make next. This is a band I will definitely keep following. Enjoy 🙂
