Caelid has released a new single “The Abyss” and this one hit me hard from the start. The guitars and drums sound huge, while the vocals bring strong energy and some memorable melodies. I loved the chorus here. It opens the track up and gives all that dark tension somewhere to explode. The song deals with addiction, moving through its highs, lows, and the way a person can lose part of themselves chasing that rush.
