Colin Yates is new to my radar with his single “The Falls”, and his voice caught me right away. There is a warm and honest tone in his delivery that works beautifully with the rich guitars and smooth backing around him. The song comes from a real trip he took with his wife to Niagara Falls, and that personal story gives the writing a lovely heart. I also enjoyed how naturally the melodies move without losing their charm. The production is clean, the mix is excellent, and every instrument supports his voice perfectly. Colin Yates is an artist worth watching.
