I’ve spent the week listening to Jake Benjamin and his new single “monarch” has been a real joy. His voice is rich, his melodies are lovely and I keep coming back to that chorus. The song starts with a lovely sound and a full and lively mix with enough changes to keep things interesting. I really loved the female vocals, she added a unique touch with her lovely voice. I also love how clear his voice sounds throughout. Jake wrote this song about holding on to who you are, even when life gets rough. That’s a message worth sharing.
