Jerry Peerson released a new single, “Sometimes”, and it has that raw spark that makes you stop what you’re doing for a minute. The drums are a big part of it. They give the track life right away, while the production stays solid and strong without taking the heart out of the song. Jerry sings like he means every word and his voice brings out the stress, doubt, and quiet hope behind the lyrics. The song is about wanting to step away from a strange and heavy world, but still knowing that real people and real bonds can keep you grounded. It is polished, full, and easy to replay. One of the best tracks I’ve heard in months!
