Maddalena Conni has a lovely new single called “Drunk on Stars”, and her voice is my favorite part. There’s something pure and charming about the way she sings. The song starts with a soft sound and keeps things simple, letting her voice do most of the work. The chorus is beautiful with a melody that’s easy to remember. What surprised me was how she made some of the sounds using everyday objects, even a cushion for the drums. She is one of the best artists I’ve discovered this year. The mixing is clean, the writing is honest and Maddalena knows what she’s doing. Make sure to share it with your friends!
