Ryan Xander caught my attention with his single “Can You Stay” and I’m glad I found his music. His rich and smooth voice is the first thing I loved here, backed by lovely instruments and a clean mix. As the song moves forward, the honest words become more important. Ryan sings about loving someone who is struggling with depression and not knowing how to help. That’s a hard story to tell. The real voicemail from his late grandmother at the end makes it even more personal. This is my first time hearing Ryan, but I’m already looking forward to his next release.
