Shark School released “5AM”, and this one does not walk in quietly. The Galway band brings loud guitars, heavy drums, and raw vocals that sound close, rough, and full of life. Nothing here sounds too polished and that is part of why the song works so well. It has a strong kick from the first seconds, but there is also a serious heart under all that noise. The track speaks about the pain and anger linked to assault, and they do not soften that message. The track is sharp, honest, and hard to ignore, with an energy that stays in your head after it ends.
