The band shinyhunt just landed on my radar with this live performance of their song “city of no one” and it leaves a strong first mark. The vocals are smooth and easy to return to, while the lyrics have a strange little pull that stays in the head after the song ends. I also like how the instruments move around the voice without crowding the soundscape. There is a cool late-night mood in the recording, but it still sounds clean and controlled. This is a professional band with a solid sound, real care and a lot of passion behind what they do.
