It’s a nice summer night, and I couldn’t find a better album to spend it with. ИΞOlicious released the debut album “LΞT IT BΞ ИIGHT” after spending three years building its strange, dark and beautiful world. For a teenager making a first full project, the amount of detail here is seriously impressive. Across 14 tracks and 47 minutes, the album sounds carefully planned, but it never loses the personal side that makes a debut exciting.
The whole record works as one journey. I do not want to choose a favorite track because that almost misses the point. These songs belong beside each other. The album moves through shadowy spaces, soft moments, sudden changes, strange sounds and bright little details that keep appearing when you listen again. Pressing play from the beginning is the best way to hear it.
The production is one of the strongest parts of this album tbh. The artist made the project with Ableton on a MacBook Air. Yes, simple equipment, but makes the finished quality even more impressive. There are layers everywhere but the music never becomes messy. Vocals, textures, distant sounds, sharp changes and quieter sections are placed with real care. Some moments sound like late night streets, while others bring to mind empty roads, planes far away or just looking out a window during a long ride.
That connection to travel is important to the album. The artist built the project around transportation as a way to explore the mind, sleep, awareness and seeing life from another angle. Instead of explaining that idea in a heavy way, the music carries much of it. Night sounds and city details become part of the record’s world, giving the album its character.
This new album is a confident debut from a young artist with serious ideas and the patience to develop them. It is haunting, simple, creative and full of small details worth returning to. That patience gives every section room to have its purpose. More importantly, it sounds made with passion rather than created just to fill space. After hearing this album, I am already curious about where ИΞOlicious goes next.
