Freidrich$ has released a new album called “I Came Across”, and I spent real time with it before writing this. What stood out first was how close and honest the music sounds. The songs are built around guitar, voice, and simple parts, but the record never sounds empty (I think that’s why I loved it so much). The production is professional and gives every part enough space. The mixing and mastering keep everything clear from start to finish.

This amazing artist has a rich voice that suits this record very well. His delivery is raw, smooth and direct. The tone of his voice makes the writing sound more personal. The melodies are strong and the instruments support his vocals beautifully.

The title “Ocean Roar” was one of the first tracks that got me hooked on constant repeat. I loved its melody, the emotion in his voice, and the full production around him. “Radiant” is my favorite track on the album. The acoustic guitar works beautifully with his soft delivery and the song has an easy flow with honest writing and a very catchy melody. “Fine” is another strong moment, with sharp lines, great beats and a confident vocal performance.

The songs are simple but never boring. Great details, small changes in the music, vocal delivery and instrumentation keep things moving. This album shows an artist who knows how to do more with less. Freidrich$ is now one of the artists I want to keep following, because this album gives me many reasons to hear what he does next.
