Paycheque released a new single, “Generic Actress” and it is a very easy song to enjoy from the start. The duo brings a bright polished sound that immediately stands out, but what really stayed with me was how smooth everything moves. The vocals are catchy and the instrumental work gives the track a strong lift all the way through. I also really liked the synth work here. It adds color, shape, and a cool sparkle to the song without making it too busy. There is also a sharp atmosphere around the whole track that matches its story of hanging around outside the action instead of being part of it. That idea gives the single extra character and the music video only adds more charm. This is one of those songs that shows real taste, strong detail and a duo worth following closely.
