Ezra Vancil just landed on my radar with his new single “In the Band”. It’s a warm new song featuring Cozi, whose soft voice adds something special to the recording. Ezra sounds confident from the start, and his rich voice carries the story with ease. The song looks back at how music has stayed close to him through family, childhood, and life. I really enjoyed the writing, strong vocal melodies, and the natural sound of the instruments. Cozi works beautifully beside him, especially when their voices meet. The chorus is one of my favorite parts and the production keeps everything warm and full of life.
