AAron Skiles has a new album out called “Angels, Demons and Coin Flips”, and discovering his music through this record was a great surprise. The first thing that caught me was his voice. It has real character, and there is something strong about the way he sings without making every line sound too polished.
The guitars are a huge part of why this album works so well. They come in with power, but they still leave enough space for the vocals and drums to breathe. Josh Jove’s lead guitar work gives the songs extra bite, especially in the solos. The drums are strong underneath everything and the production keeps the whole album loud and easy to enjoy.
AAron Skiles keeps the melodies strong and memorable. Some moments have more energy, while others let his writing and voice sit closer to the front. That change of pace helps the album move perfectly instead of sounding like the same song repeated ten times. His vocal presence is impressive.
I really liked the character behind the music. AAron sounds experienced, confident and completely at home with these songs and style. This is an album worth playing from the first track to the last. The strong guitars, sharp drums, memorable melodies, and powerful singing make this one of those records I will happily return to again and again. Enjoy and make sure to share it with your friends!
