The Madelines are back with “Amy” and this song was easy for me to enjoy from the start. The guitars sound great, the drums keep things moving and the whole band plays with a lot of energy. I loved the vocals, but the chorus was my favorite part because the melody stays in your head. The lyrics come from memories of being far from home and missing people you love, which gives the song a sad side under all that energy. The music builds nicely and every part works well together. I really enjoyed this one.
